My review
Thanks for running the festival, Aaron.
Man, I feel like a dick!
Completely missed out on Clay Pigeons last week!!
Will not miss this one, I swear!
Thanks for your efforts, Aaron!
Amazing choice!
Adam, Dirk, thanks guys! Really appreciate the nice comments.
Done!
Can't wait to see the results. As far as I remember Alamar is winning, right? This one has potential to take the first place, but I'm giving my votes for Alamar. o/
Thanks, I haven't checked but I think Alamar is probably in the lead.
http://letterboxd.com/dickieiain/film/the-return/ here is my take.
Not sure if I should put this on as I put this film forward, even if it doesn't count, everyone can see my thoughts.
Thanks for doing this Aaron, it has been very enjoyable, and a great idea.
Thanks, Iain, I really appreciate your words. As for your review, it most certainly counts.
Just found out Vladimir Garin who plays the older brother Andrey drowned just before the film was released. He drowned in a lake that was used in film, tragic.
I had no idea. Tragic indeed.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to rewatch this one...if not I'll dredge up what I can from memory and post a link to that viewing.
Sure, that would be great.
I was thinking, while watching this film, that the reunited father son relationship was like the total opposite of Alamar.
Almost opposite, I'd say. Although he is a little harsh, there are some details that could suggest he loved his children.
Ok then, here it is: boxd.it/kcHV
Thanks for the festival, Aaron! I hope Steve Grzesiak or someone picks up the slack later in the year for another round...
