Finally, a Tarantino movie I can hold in the same equivalent as Pulp Fiction. It's got a lot better pacing that most Tarantino movies. The performances overall, are fantastic (I hope Dicaprio gets his overdue Oscar for it) and amazing action. There's a shootout in this movie that's one of the best(and bloodiest) action sequences I've seen this year. My (VERY SMALL) issues are an almost excessive use of nigger. I know it's how people talked at the time, but…

Just see it. No other words are necessary.

It reminded me of The Dark Knight Rises, except without it being a massive disappointment.

Still hopelessly in love with this movie.

I was so insanely hyped to see this movie ever since that first trailer came out. Seriously, that “bad guy counseling” scene was like something out of the hopes and dreams I’ve had since I was about 4 years old. Now that I’ve seen the movie, did it live up to my own personal hype? Welll……..yes and no.

By yes, I’m directly referring to like the first 30-40 minutes of the movie. Everything in that period was perfect. I was…

I totally forgot how fucking great this movie is.

The term pretentious the most accurate way I can use to describe this movie. Despite having an amazing score and visuals, it still has no actual characters(imagine all the "dialogue" from Ryan Gosling's character in Drive and multiply that by 50),horrible pacing(it's a 90 minute movie that feels like 150), And contains long stretches of nothing, that lead to nothing. This whole movie just feels pointless.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2 2014

    ★★★ Watched 21 May, 2014

This movie's all over the goddamn place. When it hits(every Gwen/Peter scene, fight scenes, Spiderman's jokes, the last 20 minutes) it's some of the series' highest points. At the same time, when it misses(Jamie Foxx and Dane Dehaan's roles entirely), it becomes worse than Spiderman 3.

Ultimately, there's just way too much going on for the movie to handle. Too many damn sub-plots and too much preparation for sequels and spinoffs.

  • In Bruges 2008

    ★★★ Watched 28 May, 2012

A fun, quirky little dramedy. Ralph Fiennes is definitely the highlight. However, people were overhyping the shit out of this for me, so it kinda ruined a little of the enjoyment.

This is NOT Taken with wolves. And I'm glad it didn't take that route.

You know when you eat a shit-ton of candy, and then you feel really sick and you regret ever eating it? Well, this movie is said candy. This movie is cute to the point where it started to genuinely make me angry. When you take away the cuteness factor, there's honestly so little substance to the movie beyond something you'd see in your average daytime kids show.

    Also, fuck the minions.

Never doubt Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

PS: This movie contains the single greatest end credits sequence I've ever seen.
