A film as beautiful as the paintings featured. Director Tom Hooper paints a beautiful story with poetic cinematography by Danny Cohen and a luscious score by Alexandre Desplat. Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander bring the story to life and really give it wings.
The follow up to last summer’s “Planes” spinoff from the “Cars” universe is just as unnecessary as the first. But with a tribute to firefighters, this one is much more palatable. But it is such a disappointment in regards to the animation. It looks cheap and rushed, worthy of a straight-to-DVD release — if only we were so lucky.
One of the best movies of the year based on an excellent book of the same name. Where this movie shines is in the screenplay, which author Stephen Chbosky adapted himself. He also directed the movie. Its his story and vision executed very well for the big screen. Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller are perfect as the leading characters. A must-see movie. "We are infinite."
