What a strange film, reminds me of those movies in the late 80’s/early 90’s that would have been labeled “off-beat” and inspired by Coen Bros. movies…just that this was made by 1/2 of the Bros.
Kind of a southern fried, kookier cousin to BOUND meets BURN BEFORE READING’s type of tempo.
Margret Qualley seemed to get the assignment and really embraced that, down to the thick southern accent and penchant to embrace the verbal idiosyncrasies we Cown fans love.
Not sure if I was into the kooky edit transitions.
Fun, silly stuff.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail 1975
Man, it has maybe been 20 years since I watched what could be considered the Python’s masterwork and clearly forgot many of the jokes, especially the first 30 min.
How they pulled off such absurdist humor at the time that still works today is a miracle.
Always make sure your fog machine is up and running to create grime, atmosphere and ominous medieval tones even in a comedy.
I need to enjoy this movie more often.
