Some people are creeped out by clowns, some people by midgets and others by dolls... Xtro manages to do all three with the same character.

Story is a little muddled about a father being abducted while out playing with his son. 3 years later he returns a changed man. He's become a part alien part human hybrid polymorph, as well has acquiring new abilities which he manages to pass down to his son.

Xtro is a film I originally seen on its release but not seen it since until tonight, when I was on a binge of video nasties (though it never made the official DPP Video Nasties List, some UK shops removed it from circulation). Its not really how I remembered or as good, but its still heaps of fun and a great showcase of cheesy fx of the time. Some truly amazing moments like the father being reborn and the kids nightmare coming to life with the killer midget clown doll. Plus we get to see bond girl Maryam D'ab naked, which is always a treat I really should make a naked bond girls list one day. Recommended I'd suspect its got more respect from horror fans than it has from sci-fi ones.
