Pretty good film, with some pretty nice action scenes, but nothing stand out or very memorable. Can't really work out how it flopped so badly on release.

An abysmal, deeply flawed and utterly inconsistent plot, characters, cinematography, sets and editing would normally lead to a frustrating waste of an hour an a half. Luckily, the puppeteer behind this was writer/director/actor Tommy Wiseau; a man of legend, one of only a handful of skilled artisans capable of creating a disaster of a film that still manages to be both entertaining and thought provoking.

...ok, maybe not thought provoking, but definitely entertaining - especially on the occasion when the man himself is on stage before the film taking questions, and not really answering them.

This film is genius, and is a great watch as long as you go into it without expecting a scary horror, and not expecting to take it seriously at all. Its good fun, has some great characters, the town gives off an utterly surreal vibe, and Colin Farrel is great in it. The only thing that kind of pissed me off a bit is the scenes that are obviously shoehorned in purely to work in a 3D cinema viewing - we should be past this crap, it doesn't work and just looks tacky.

Enjoy this film after a few beers or a bit of a smoke.

Bane was awesome. That 1 on 1 fight scene in the sewers was pretty amazing. The pacing and length felt good. The predictable plot let me down. The cliche hollywood action and explosions ending left me disappointed.
