The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012
This was kind of odd. The film overall felt great and had a lot of detail and love put into it. However things about it seemed like poor ideas or ideas that, if good ones, won't matter till one of the other two films to come.
The idea of having another trilogy from one book could either be way too bloated or give so much room for narrative that it was a brilliant idea artistically let alone financially. Making prequel…

Unbreakable 2000
It's very depressing in a way when you watch this movie. To think that M. Night made this fantastic film and then look at what he has become.
He just need to go back to rather simple films but with complex characters like this.

The Proposition 2005
After this, I really want to see more Australian westerns. This was brutal and depressing but it had some beautiful shots throughout.
Ray Winstone and Guy Pierce are extremely good in this and I like John Hurt's appearance.
A great brutal Outback story.
