More a political statement than a movie.
Not without its points though; the soundtrack for one.
The mood reminds me of Southland Tales, oppressive, and somewhat boring, but strangely watchable.

Watched it with Frank (5years) for the nth time. It is possibly one of the best scifi movies ever made. i know, i know for kids you say.
But it's much better than most kids movies, it has a whole lot of heart and great execution to boot.
