Letterboxd — Your life in film

I understand the premise of the film and what Sofia Coppola is trying to achieve with the dynamics of this film, but in execution it all comes off as so forced and premeditated as though the spontaneous nature of some shots was actually rehearsed. It doesn't feel like an immersive experience, with the constant reminder that someone has over-thought or contextualised each individual scenario. Granted there are some strong performances but ultimately this is not a very memorable film and was somewhat of a chore to watch.
