Lars Jacobsson’s review:
This DVD had been collecting dust in my shelves for years, when Ernest Borgnine (RIP) finally sold the farm I decided it was time to give it a spin... Turned out it's a sweet, simple little love drama but it's hard to see what the critics at the time were raving about. Perhaps it was the novelty of a seeing a low-key, earnest love story between two ordinary (some would say boring), normal-looking characters in a Hollywood movie (certainly not the type of story that the dream factory produced much of at the time)? Anyway, a good movie but probably not something I would revisit very soon. Borgnine is indeed very good in the lead role.
