Vampire's Kiss 1988
See it. Cage's performance is absolutely amazing and gut-wrenchingly funny. Moments of it will haunt me and make me laugh for quite a while. As a film... It can't be taken seriously. It depicts rape and murder and the use of stakes, but watching it you might be laughing, because everything is so over the top and silly. Skip the Youtube clips and watch all of it in order, the craziness will surely be funnier with the "normal stuff" in between.

13 Going On 30 2004
It's simpler and stupider than it has to be, but one cannot say that it fails to accomplish what it sets out to do. Decently paced and well cast 13 Going On 30 is very much a modern fairy tale about the importance of placing family & friends before material wealth and outer success. But it's still a Hollywood take on the subject, with a bunch of typical tropes, so this is by no means anything you should seek out, unless you are 13, undemanding and bored.

The Brothers Grimm 2005
The film was enjoyable enough when it came out/when I was fifteen. But the main thing was that this film had a PG-13 rating, whereas another film that came out at about the same time was rated R because it had a harmless nude scene or perhaps sex scene in it. I was astounded that the sex wasn't okay for kids, but a rather realistically portrayed severed head (or was it two severed heads?) is fair game.

Judge Dredd 1995
It has been a great while since I saw this, but I remember it as enjoyable. So it gets three stars for entertaining a six year old and for featuring such hilariously hammy performances (search for 'dredd the law remix').
