Luke Curtis commented on markmooney’s review of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
It is quite rare to rewatch a comedy many years later and find it just as funny as the first time, that is the mark of a great comedy IMHO.

For a film that lost $200m this is not actually that bad a film, the only problem I had was that the 2 human races seemed a little similar and it was often difficult to tell who were the good guys and who were the bad. That said I am a little disappointing that we will not get a second film now all the heavy lifting of setting up the characters and situations up has been done.

Exceptional film, watched it only a couple of months ago and it hold up just as well and when I first saw it when it was released IMHO.

@Andy: LOL! I did enjoy the first one, a bit of a guilty pleasure!
I even got as far as putting the DVD in the drive but got distracted by a phone call a couple of months ago!

I bought Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason shortly after it was released in 2005, 8 years later it is still sitting unwatched on a shelf. Scary.

Oblivion 2013
Instant Classic in my honest opinion.
The look and sound of this film are great, especially the sound FX which really should be up for an Oscar next year if there is any justice.
The plot stays away from all the regular big budget tropes, it doesn't just chuck lots and lots of big explosions at you, it takes its time and whacks an enormous emotional punch at you, i loved it.
