I was a little bit afraid that this one would turn out to be a long TV-Episode.
But it isn’t. It’s a worthy conclusion to the storyline.
It’s great to see the setting in a movie made for the big screen and the Serenity looks really cool … not perfect but cool.
It’s also interesting to see some of the advanced technologies from the core worlds in contrast to the outer planets. This is done very well.
The beginning felt a little bit strange since I had the feeling the relationship between some characters had been thrown back a few episode but the last third corrects a lot of this.
It does some mistake when making a movie for a (SciFi-) series but the overall story is very good, the character interaction is great and it stays true to the spirit of Firefly. And I really loved the last dialoge.
It’s a shame that there is no new season coming after this.
