This film is nearly perfect. The performances given by the cast is perfect. I think I don’t have to mention that Anthony Hopkins is in the best role of his live!
… well … I did mention it now.
The only reason why this movie doesn’t get the full 5 star rating is the presence of the topic sexuality and sexual discriminiation in nearly EVERY conversation. It’s a little bit overused and seems forced. (Except when Dr. Lecter talks about it. But he could tell you the content of the phonebook and it still would be awesome.) Maybe it was just part of the time when the movie was made.
So: It’s a great movie. If you like crime movies (and have a strong stomach) make sure you watch this one.
