Tony D'Amico’s review published on Letterboxd :
One of the last great films that Harrison Ford has starred in. I was working at a 3rd run theater as a teenager when this was released, I remember this movie was pretty damn huge. We played this for at least 2 months, while back in the 90's, that wasn't extremely long, it was a decent amount of time for a 3rd run theater. But I did remember liking this a lot more than i did on this re watch.
The acting was good from a lot of the actors IMO, especially Ford and Oldman and Macy. I did think that the film wasn't very clean looking, it was kind of ugly actually. I hate to say that, because i do still like the film enough to give it 3 1/2 stars, but the SFX were shit, and the wide shots of the plane in flight were very ugly, like the scene when the paratrooper guys float between the planes.
Overall it was still a good film, but it just wasn't as good as it was 15 years ago.
