Bond rank-2
Bond Ladies rank-1
Bond Theme Song rank-5
This is my second favorite Bond film, and if you rank all 3 categories(movie, ladies, theme song) it is probably the top movie IMO. Connery is amazing to me in this, he is ridiculously charismatic and I don't like to say Connery is my favorite, but he is pretty damn close to perfect. This is seriously close to Goldfinger in quality of the action in the film. The movie doesn't let up for any periods of time longer than 5 minutes. And the underwater action scenes are fucking amazing for taking place in 1965. I can;t stand behind this, but I would bet that only Jaques Cousteau was doing quality underwater camera work as good as this.
Now obviously this is a Bond film so there will be plenty of nit-picking for the non-Bond addicts, but IMO there aren't too many Bond films that compare to this one. Especially when it comes to the ladies....Luciana Paluzzi who plays Fiona Volpe and Claudine Auger who plays Domino Derval, could be the best main bond girl/enemy combo in all the films. The Theme song, although sung by Tom Jones, is awesome IMO, it is extremely catchy, never thought i would say that about him.
Anyway, I love the shit out of this Bond movie and I think it is a little under appreciated among Bond fans, but thats ok.
