The most fun I've had at a movie this year.

Wes Anderson coming into his own.

The first one was funny and enjoyable, the second one is a forgettable retread.

I could probably forgive a lot of this movie's shortcomings if it wasn't all shot in shaky cam extreme close-ups utilizing seemingly random snap zooms. I realize it's a "Duplass trademark", but it's a trademark that works at a detriment to your story. Besides that, the movie is dull, predictable, and not very funny. Add in Susan Sarandon's wholly uninteresting subplot and you're in for a very long 82 minutes.
