Stunning looking adaptation of the Snow White tale, with a fantastic performance from Charlize Theron as the evil queen and the best performance I've seen yet from Chris Hemsworth. A very dark take on the story, so be warned - not one for very young children who are easily upset. Alas it's not all good news. The movie has one fatal flaw in the miscasting of Kristen Stewart as Snow White. This almost derails the film because a) no self respecting magic mirror is ever going to think Charlize Theron has been upstaged by (the at best plain looking) Stewart and b) it's a frankly awful emotionless phoned-in performance. It's a tribute to director Rupert Sanders that in spite of a personality-less central character the film is still a triumph.
