Really awesome film. Story is pretty conventional but incredibly endearing. The animation is simply extraordinary, and really lends to the story. The group at Laika really are doing something special, and they're easily one of the most interesting production companies in the business.
Let's get a few things out of the way:
The cinematography is bar-none some of the best of the year. Arguably the best.
The performances in Birdman are magnificent, everyone really kills it.
