The Inbetweeners Movie 2012

Reviewed Oct 28, 2011

As a fan of the juvenile British comedy series I naturally had low expectations going into this adaptation for the big screen (when has this ever been done right?). But it's not a complete misfire, in fact it's exactly what you might expect from a 97 minute episode. It's the same formula - but let's recap: Jay gets all the good lines, Simon is annoyingly obsessed with Carli, Neil is loveably dim-witted and Will is particularly socially inept. The plot is irrelevant and it's not note-perfect comedy, but at its crude best it delivers laughs at a consistent rate.
