Todd Willcox’s review published on Letterboxd :
There are obviously going to be comparisons between Zack Snyder's remake of George A. Romero's original 1978 film. I prefer the former, particularly in the scenes' setup and execution and the rapidly-moving zombies. I have a penchant for zombie movies and this is one of the best ones. It's the very definition of a great horror ensemble which is a rarity among scary movies. It's not so much frightening as it is entertaining, and I appreciate its focus on the film's characters who we really get a chance to know (some in more depth than others). By and large, it's one of the best zombie films made (though I think 28 DAYS LATER and 28 WEEKS LATER are superior). I've reviewed other zombie films on this site and will undoubtedly continue to do so, so be forewarned.
