It borrows pretty heavily from the Evil Dead franchise (creature design, arm/hand escapades) so it is hard for me not to compare it to these greater pictures. But Shea Whigham gives a great performance, supported by the rest of the cast, and the premise is enough to help this low-budget monster movie rise above the muck.

all the shorts are solid, though one is the weakest link, and of course the framing device is imperfect, but the last 3 (of 4) shorts are all really great. Evans' is a standout, terrifying and original. Number 2 from the makers of Blair Witch is hilarious and fun. Watch and love.

so freaking funny. there's a message and some heart for you too if you stop laughing long enough to hear it.
