Tarantino Films (Ranked)

Tarantino is one of those unique filmmakers, and everyone has their own opinion on him. Some believe him to be all flash and no substance beyond witty dialogue, others say he is the saviour of film making. In reality, he's somewhere in between, but every single one of his movies is so uniquely him, that they're all worth a watch.

That said, this is the internet, so let's list these in order! Only the "Written and Directed" though. No From Dusk to Dawn etc.

  • Interesting I did a Tarantino list as well but mine goes 1. Kill Bill 2. Kill Bill Vol. 2 3. Pulp Fiction 4. Death Proof 5. Inglorious Basterds 6. Reservoir Dogs and 7. Jackie Brown. There all excellent though a rewatching could change the order at anytime for me.

  • Reservoir Dogs is my #1 too. I prefer KB1 to KB2 though, and Basterds would make top three.

  • KB should only be seen as one film. I hope one day they release The Whole Bloody Affair.

  • Haven't seen them all, but of those I have I'd go: 1. Reservoir Dogs, 2. Pulp Fiction, 3. Inglorious Basterds, 4 Kill Bill 1, 5. Kill Bill 2 (if we consider it one film, then obviously it remains last).

  • Like it or not, Kill Bill is 2 films. And it's fine to rate one above the other.

  • A lot of people see the Kill Bill films as one because Tarantino originally meant for them to be one film but split them due to the overall length.

  • Great list! Why were Bridget Fonda's toenails so long in Jackie Brown? Inglorious Basterds is the only one I haven't seen. Outside of your written & directed rule, the Tony Scott directed True Romance is still one of my fave Tarantino films.
