Warren Oates got a whole mouth fulla teeth! This is a hot, sweaty, violent and booze fuelled film of revenge, greed & desperation interspersed with brief moments of a tender love story that would never be.

Although it's a stand out performance by Warren Oates, I was more taken with a very natural performance from Isela Vega as Elita. Look out as well for an early role for Kris Kristofferson.

Would not be surprised at all to hear Tarantino is a fan of this film. Would also not be surprised if you felt like you needed a hot shower after watching it.
