What a sad affair this movie was. I wanted to like this movie. I really did. I am a HUGE Blues Brothers fan and for this to fall as flat as it did was a sore disappointment for me. The reason being that it was missing two vital elements. John Belushi and Cab Calloway. They put in John Goodman as Mighty Mac which was a welcome addition but to not have James Belushi as Zee Blues was a major letdown. The songs are fine throughout, the highlight being "Ghost Riders in the Sky." The battle of the bands scene at the end of the movie is useless mainly because the Blues Brothers don't even win. The ending is awful, bad enough to pretty much ruin the movie for me. Truly a shadow of what could have been....
