A simply wonderful masterwork in the Giallo style.
This review is missing one star... ;-)
you very much maybe correct, i saw it for the first time 3 months ago and i am still thinking about it. I plan to give it a rewatch soon and really believe it will goup another star. Such an amazing Film
It really is an amazing film and one of Dario Argento's very best. Have you seen any of his other films? (I haven't checked out your other reviews yet.) My other favorites are Deep Red, Suspiria, Inferno, Opera, and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage.
i have been dying into Argento for about 6 mo now (along with Some Bava, Sloavi, Fulci) Something about 70/80's Italian horror alwys kept me at arms length. That being said...
Torso Tenebrae Demons The LivingDead at Manchester Morgue New York Ripper & Zombie
have all been alot of fun
Argento's Phantom of the Opera has been the low point
Phantom of the Opera is definitely a low point in Argento's career. The other ones you mentioned are all great, though. And Soavi's Stagefright, The Church, The Sect, and Cemetery Man are all highly recommended.
