Had really been looking forward to this and finally caught up with it a couple of weeks back. Make no mistake Dexter Fletcher is some director, I really think he could become great, just have a look at his IMDB page, he's been around for a while acting and worked with an awful lot of talent. He obviously wasn't walking around with his eyes shut the whole time. This is easily one of the best film I've seen this year.…
A fitting finale to Chris Nolan's epic trilogy, Anne Hathaway I loved and chemistry between her and Bale worked for me. Tom Hardy suitably menacing, Joseph Gordon-Levitt fine and the usual faces of Oldman, Freeman and Caine reliable as ever. One caveat, when I saw it at the Vue in Oxford, the sound was fine. My daughter saw it the week before in the same cinema and her, along with five friends found most of Banes lines incomprehensible. I'm guessing that's a sound problem on the cinema's part, so be warned, if they don't set it up properly you may encounter the same problem..
