Amazing. Michael Shannon delivers probably the 2nd best performance of 2011. Jeff Nichols is a filmmaker to watch.

Steve McQueen and Michael Fassbender prove yet again that they aren't afraid to pull punches and show the ugly side of life. Fassbender gives the best performance of the year and one of the bravest in years. McQueen, as with Hunger, is an auteur on the rise. I for one, hope that McQueen and Fassbender work several more times together.
