  • The Innkeepers 2011

    ★★½ Watched 25 May, 2012

This had the makings of a good haunted house story, but here are my opinions of why it fell flat. While there was the initial jump out of your seat scene in the first 5 minutes, it took way into the second half to have anything remotely scary happen. They spent time on characters in the inn that were irrelevant to the actual story line. They led you to believe by focusing the camera on specific items, like the historical…

  • Born to Be Bad 1934

    ★★★½ Watched 25 May, 2012

Catching up on some old Cary Grant films, this little film that come in at just over 60 minutes was a short simple film that really did not show off Grant's talents, but Loretta Young did a fine job as a woman hustler who doesn't know how to be a mom. There wasn't much back story or drama in this film but for an hour film, how much can you really get in. It was overall, decent.

  • Abduction 2011

    ★★★½ Added

I seriously wanted to hate this film, but as much as I dislike Taylor Lautner, the movie was pretty decent.

  • Beneath the Planet of the Apes 1970

    ★★½ Watched 04 Feb, 2012

This movie was the most boring out of all. I never really understood the people who lived underground and they bomb and what everything. It seems like they really were reaching for a story when they made this movie.

  • Escape from the Planet of the Apes 1971

    ★★★★ Watched 05 Feb, 2012

This one, I really enjoyed although it had the feel that they were making a mockery out of the series with them coming back to present time and dressing them in human dress and having them speaking at rally’s etc. It was totally very 70′s cheesy. But once the government found out how they treated humans 2000 years laters, then it goes tits up and they don’t want this apes to live anymore. It definitely ended well and sets the stage for the next film.

  • Conquest of the Planet of the Apes 1972

    ★★★★ Watched 05 Feb, 2012

I enjoyed this movie too. Like an group of people who are held down for too long, they begin to not just want equal rights, but want power. The film portrayed this rise like like they would do the blacks years ago. Even movies like with communists, etc… Who says monkeys can’t take over the world. I’d buy it 2000 years from now. Brilliant film and probably one of my favorites.

  • Battle for the Planet of the Apes 1973

    ★★★½ Watched 05 Feb, 2012

Okay, so I feel asleep during the last half of this movie. The first part of the movie was interesting on how they were living. Almost similar how militants lived in the jungles with Che Guevara. They were in power, yet not fully. I probably would like to go back and watch it since I was just so exhausted from work.

  • Planet of the Apes 2001

    ★★★ Watched 05 Feb, 2012

This movie, I had seen originally in the early 2000′s. I enjoyed it then but watching it now, I felt it was too fantasy. Maybe it was Tim Burton’s take on it, but it was nothing compared to the original movies. There was something lacking.

  • The Rum Diary 2011

    ★★★ Added

An odd sorta film where Johnny Depp plays the kind of character he is good at... a drunk. Set in in the Carribbean, Depp's character is a journalist and when he gets his story no one wants to here it and it is something that needs to be told. Amber Heard also stars which always will make me a happy little camper. While I enjoyed the film, I didn't love it.

  • The Gravedancers 2005

    ★★★★ Watched 25 Feb, 2012

A bizarre little voodoo spiritual film about a group of people who had gotten drunk and danced on the graves of the towns most desirable people, like child molesters, rapists, murderers. The spirits of these souls are haunting them one by one and on the eve of the full moon, these souls are going to kill them. With the help of two paranormal ghostbusters, they most survive the night and put the souls back in the graves before daylight.
    No…

  • Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer 2011

    ★★★ Watched 25 Feb, 2012

I can't believe I watched this movie and enjoyed it. This is really not the kind of film i would watch and the kids in the film where very annoying, but once Heather Graham comes into the picture, the film changes paces and the story shapes up and takes shape. I don't think many people could have saved this film. I felt that Graham was able to and pulled it out from a two to a solid three stars in my book.

  • The Double 2011

    ★★★½ Added

Now here is a movie I enjoyed. You have a Russian killer that everyone is out to get, and the chief investigator is working for both the Russians and Americans to bring him down.
I don't really like Topher Grace, but I have to say that he really changed my opinion of him in this film. He finally wasn't Eric Foreman for once. This film had a great balance of suspense, thrills and intrigue for you to enjoy.
