The Naked City is a simple who-dun-it involving the murder of a young lady and the realization of a jewelry theft ring. The woman is killed, the police show up and start their investigating; one thing leads to another and a man is being chased down East Side Manhattan and over the Williamsburg Bridge before succumbing to gunshot wounds and a fall…

This was really fun. The dialog was cheesy as hell in the dubbed version I watched, but it really added to the look and sound of the film. My favorite cheesiness came in a meeting in the apartment between the two protagonists. Yui has a cat jump in her lap, starts to stroke it and Yui is the one that moans. Afterwards Shogo asks if she is sure it is okay for him to park his bike in her garage.…
