Kevin Wight’s review:
Iconic certainly, and Belmondo is cool, and Seberg all elfin gorgeousness. However, the story is a bit slight and Belmondo's character is not that sympathetic, especially as he casually murders a policeman at the beginning.
Still, the main stars' chatty flirtation is fun, the choppy editing gives it the illusion of being faster-paced than it is, Jean-Pierre Melville's cameo is great, and the ending is damned cool.
