Letterboxd — Your life in film

Some good gags and the usual one liners, but one of the weaker Marx Brothers efforts.

These cops get good training. Not only are all of them able to suddenly expertly fly stunt bi-planes - including Sharon Stone's reporter character - but they can perform rolls and crazy maneuvers as well.

Then there's the fact that Leslie Easterbrook has the line "there's the ninja, let's get him". That's a win right there.

Movie suddenly stops for a 5-10 minute skateboarding sequence (featuring Tony Hawk and Lance Mountain and via stunt performer we're led to imagine David Spade as well) through the streets of Toronto.

The police dispatch computer is a Commodore 64. 'Nuff said.

I like a movie that doesn't rush too fast into the action like a lot of newer titles tend to do without allowing the audience to get to know the characters or the world, but this one really drags its feet. The first hour is incredibly slow and starts to drag around the 45 minute mark but then the second half kicks in and that's when the fun begins. Not a great movie, but not an awful one either. I think the best word to describe this is harmless entertainment.

Haven't seen in ages and forgot how awesome this movie is. Of course Matthew Broderick's character should still be serving time in a federal pen for almost starting WWIII...but water under the bridge....

Like one of the hosts on the Linoleum Knife podcast said....it will make you miss your mom. Mine's still alive. I'm calling her now.

Sweet movie and Rogan and Streisand play well off each other.
