I don't understand the purpose of this film, other than to give ignorant and dangerously stupid people yet another platform with which to preach.
Every American would benefit from watching this film. It provides the perfect decade long retelling of real life events in a complex manner only appropriate for the topic it covers. It is ambivalent in its stance on many important issues, left for the viewer to analyze in their own right.
I'm also surprised about the 'pro-torture' backlash... I saw nothing absurd or unlikely in this film. Given how strongly our government advocated for 'advanced interrogation' and their defense of it,…
