Meandering movie set in the '30s about a reclusive local bogeyman (Duvall) who decides to have his own funeral while he's still alive so he can tell his story. Good performances from Duvall and Spacek and delightful as always to see Bill Murray take a break from golf but they can't save this trite, overlong drama from itself.
