The Pact is a well-intentioned yet very flawed horror/thriller by Director Nicholas McCarthy (expanded from his short of the same name). Some genuine spooks -- as well as a few unintentional chuckles -- are peppered throughout, but one can't escape the feeling that this is well worn territory. While The Pact does miss the mark by quite a margin, I will say that I liked one of the main plot realizations that comes in the final third.
