Vertigo 1958
It seems Vertigo is considered by many to be Hitchcock's masterpiece. That being said my opinion of this film will not be a popular one.
First I will say just like every other Hitchcock film I've seen it's well crafted with fine performances. Secondly I'll say I did like it but barely. I just wasn't very impressed with the story. The setup was a bit silly in my opinion. I suppose back in the 50`s it was considered an original…

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 2011
Harry Potter COMPLETE! It took until the 8th and final film, but I finally feel comfortable handing out 4 stars.
The Deathly Hallows Part 2 had quite a bit of emotion that I felt was lacking in the previous films. As I've mentioned before I never read the books so I suppose much of that was left out in the details. In this 8th and final film I finally felt the emotional impact the first 7 attempted to build. Things…

It's a Disaster 2012
It's a Disaster came out in 2012 but I just heard of it recently. I happened to come across it looking at ratings on rottentomatoes.com. It's a 76% on that site so I figured it's worth checking out.
Worth checking out pretty much sums it up. It's one of those quirky indie comedies that either works or doesn't and this one mostly works. The cast is full of people who aren't really big stars but you'll recognize them from something…

'Rear Window' Ethics: Remembering and Restoring a Hitchcock Classic 2000
This documentary is included on the collectors edition DVD for Rear Window. It's a fairly interesting look at the set, casting, wardrobes, and restoration of the film. It's worth checking out if you're into extras and behind the scenes stuff.

Rear Window 1954
I'm not as big a Hitchcock fan as some people, but Rear Window is very well made and acted. It features two of the biggest names from the time period James Stewart and Grace Kelly. They both give excellent performances.
The story itself is pretty intriguing, and it's influence on more modern work like Disturbia is evident. Hitchcock does a nice job here of keeping us guessing. What you see and what you think you see can be two very…

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 2010
Ok we're back on track after a disappointing Half Blood Prince. I'd say this is probably tied with the 4th film as my second favorite. I've enjoyed these characters throughout, and I'm now anxious to see how it all ends in the 8th and final film. Hopefully it'll be the one I get to give 4 stars to.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2009
Well here we are film number 6, and it's definitely my least favorite. It all felt like filler and I was mostly bored and annoyed by it. I hear the last two are fantastic (except with hardcore fans of the books) so I'm looking forward to them.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 2007
Five films in now, and to this point this is my second favorite behind The Prisoner of Azkaban. It felt like a step up production wise. Everything seemed to be on a larger scale, and it had more of a blockbuster feel to it. In some cases that would be a bad thing but here it helped. I was entertained, and the introduction of that cunt Dolores Umbridge gave me something to really root against.

Man of Steel 2013
Before I get into my review of this film I wanna say I completely understand all sides of the mixed reactions it's received. They all make sense.
Now I'll do my best to lay out my thoughts of what worked and what didn't.
Henry Cavill as Superman:
He's perfect! He completely embodies what Superman should be. A physical specimen, with strong will and convictions. The role needed an actor who could portray Superman's struggle with who he is and where… -
Monty Python and the Holy Grail 1975
It's been a long time since I've seen this, but it's just as silly and funny as ever. I don't love it as much as my friends across the pond, but I gotta admit it's damn funny stuff.

Casablanca 1942
Another classic watched another classic I didn't love.
I did like this one fairly well though. The performances are some of the best from the time and the story was pretty interesting. I just don't see myself wanting to revisit it anytime soon.

Citizen Kane 1941
I've come to the conclusion that me and really old classics just don't get along. Once again I've found myself not loving one that so many others do. It's become a bit of a nuisance I tell you.
Citizen Kane like several other classics I haven't loved is technically well made. Everything is spot on from Orson Welles directing to the fine performances. The problem is with the story. I just couldn't connect with it enough to love it. It's…
