You need to watch State and Main and Happiness, my friend!
Oh, and Capote.
And Charlie Wilson's war.
And Flawless.
I plan on seeing all of those eventually, but I've been worried about a couple of them being boring (Charlie Wilson's War and Flawless) are they interesting enough that I won't be bored to death?
While not masterpieces, they are certainly worthy of your time.
Fair enough I'll definitely check them out eventually. I know Hoffman has several films while not great they're worth watching for his performance.
My all time favorite actor (or at least he's tied with Viggo Mortesen). Definitely check out the films Dirk mentioned. He gives some of his best performances in those films, especially Capote. Not sure about Flawless though. Great acting, but the film was shit.
I actually liked Flawless a lot, but I can see how it isn't for everyone.
In addition to the films Dirk mentioned, you really need to check out Boogie Nights, Love Liza and Owning Mahowny.
I've seen almost every film Phillip Seymour Hoffman's been in and he has yet to dissapoint (the actual films may, but he won't).
He also has small roles in two other great fims, Scent of a Woman and Nobody's Fool.
Oh, and you should also check out his directorial debut, Jack Goes Boating.
@Richard I plan to see all of those. I've been kind of undecided on whether I wanna see Jack Goes Boating. Is it worth it?
Yeah, I liked it a lot. It's definitely worth a watch.
Cool I'll check it out then.
