Ginger was 30 by the time they got to this, and she really should have had that part a while earlier. Even with all the good will in the world, it's hard to believe anybody could take her for 'almost 12'... When we're past that need of good will, we've got another problem in the creepy department when this 'acting almost 12' year old girl are eying the aging Milland....

Still. Wilder makes it work somehow. Ginger is always a treat, there's really some great comedy spread around, and we do obviously know in our heart of hearts Ginger is about thirty... so we'll manage to overlook the pedophilia of it all, more or less at least...

Not great, but a decent way to pass some time.
