" When two people love each other, they come together - WHAM - like two taxis on Broadway."
Probably my favorite Hitchcock now. Not too dark, but still intense enough to draw a girlish scream out of me at the end when everything was going wrong and the fear of the possibility that the good guy'll be „silenced” made me watch it through my fingers. Very much enjoyed the uncountable details that made everything colorful (but maybe it was just the Technicolor doing that). Characters were amazing, liked the parallelisms Alfred was using there, nice dialogues, great music (which along all the other sounds, how I read, was diegetic - coming from the original source within the film). Throughout – liked it!
