Cannibal Terror 1981
A pointless, dull entry into the Italian Cannibal cycle of the 80s. I don't expect a lot from these films, but this one failed even the lowest of expectations. The gore is uninspired, the pacing is slow -even for one of these films, and the nudity is, well I'd be fine not seeing any of them nude ever again. Avoid.

Crimes of Passion 1984
all right, but i was really hope for something a bit more loopy from Ken Russell.
Kathleen Turner was fun as the conflicted hooker, but over sub plot of the stalker was too little too late. -
Death Wish 2 1982
mean, very mean, but also, a weird transition film. Not as hard, out and out grim social commentary as the original, but not as out right silly exploitation fun of number 3 (my favourite). Not as terrible as i had been led to believe.
Full points to the score though. -

Flash Point 2007
Not Donnie Yen's best outing, but still a lot of fun, and hot damn does Donnie batter the crap out of all comers in this.
-
Horror Express 1973
Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (trying to get his mack on!) as rival scientists, a sexy Russian spys, a crazed Rasputinesque monk, Telly Savalas putting in a really over the top, possibly drunk performance as a Cossack, and then (MINI SPOILER) zombies! (END OF SPOILER) - all on the Orient Express!!! Yeah how was I not going to love this film?
-
Johnny Mnemonic 1995
i watched the Japanese cut (an extra 10 + minutes), but the film is still the same - silly, poorly written and not terribly well actied and yet i still enjoy it.
-
Nightbreed 1990
This is specifically the Cabal Cut of Nightbreed.
-
Ninja 2009
Silly, hokey, and the ninja back story (a giant ninja school with a kind of public grad ceremony ? really?) really is far from historically accurate, but damn if fighting isn't fun. And really why the hell are you watching an Issac Florentine film w/ Scott Adkins called Ninja if not for the fights?

Raising Cain 1992
NB: this was the re-cut version of the film (see this for details: bit.ly/UJZSS4)
-
Rats: Night of Terror 1984
Not quite as fun as i was hoping, this post-apocalyptic adventure/horror flick is fair enough for a Saturday morning. a bit slow, butit does deliver on the requisite Mattei nastiness and gore.
