Zane’s review:
How can you see this film and not enjoy it? The stylistic vision that Winding Refn had for this film is infinitely appealing to me. The soundtrack/score, though a little tiresome (A REAL HEEERO) is superb and does an excellent job of contrasting the hyper-violent visual. The movie is brilliantly paced, but its main weakness comes from scenes of blank staring between two characters, such as the driver and carey mulligan. Regardless of how gory or brutal this film is, it doesn't make me uneasy. I can put this film on to fall asleep to. It is very soft and dreamy, and to me that is a testament to its excellence.
