I don't claim to have good taste here
Goofy, campy, and knows it. This movie wastes no time in building complex character relationships or trying to avoid plot holes, just sets up and knocks down horror setpieces. The third act is amazing, but I kinda wish they had dropped the gonzo twist earlier in the narrative, so it could be even more bonkers.
Okay, I don't want to be a hater but I honestly got 13 minutes into this and then immediately stopped and watched an hour long episode of Zero Mostel on the Dick Cavett Show from 1971 in the worst possible quality on YouTube. It was gripping! Pretty sure I have ADHD, so you probably shouldn't draw any conclusions about the quality of Eternals from this review. Can you believe letterboxd lets just anyone review on here?
