At its best when it takes a dialectical approach, which sadly is bound by its genre trappings & need for broad appeal. Still, It has its moments. Mostly I'm annoyed at needing to be offline for several hours each week until I have the chance to watch. I realize this is not a fair criticism of the show itself. Get off my lawn, etc.
Execution is everything for a film that I probably last saw on a cathode ray tube TV. The 360° car shot is proof that Spielberg can't make a bad movie, although his direction does most of the heavy lifting in elevating this from its GODZILLA (1998) brethren.
