Slept on this movie for far too long. Personal dream cast, written by the writer (and thankfully not director) of Buffy, directed by the guy who made Lars and the Real Girl, and eventually I, Tonya and Cruella. Not only are these stats behind it but the movie is just a magical adaptation of the atom Holland original. There is real horror here clashing against serious attitude and it is truly a perfect movie. If you’ve waited to see this like I did for so long, wait no longer.
Even if this were mediocre I wanted so bad to at least remotely enjoy it. 2021 has given us nothing good in horror so far (that I’ve seen) and these shudder originals get sadder and sadder.
