I first heard of this film when a kid at secondary asked me if I was named Tobias after the boy in it. suffice to say no, since my mother isn’t an emo.
honestly there’s very little about this I didn’t profusely dislike. I have no fondness for Tim Burton or Johnny Depp, and the singing isn’t excellent at any points and the cockney accents are just insufferable, and the colour palette is truly nauseating, and I just do not care about Victorian stories or anything set in that era at all because you can’t make a serial killer drama in that time interesting when genuine serial killers were alive then doing cooler things than this. Sacha Baron Coen was the only redeeming factor
also like if he kills all his customers how is it sustainable as a business model if nobody’s alive to recommend him or to come back then surely it’s quite rare to get anyone come in at all
