Eve's Bayou

Eve's Bayou ★★★★

Aaah this was every bit as mysterious and good as I thought! The vibe is so real. Once again another killer coming of age story with a Southern twist. I love New Orleans and was fortunate enough to experience the bayou area, so I have a new appreciation for this brand of Southern charm. The voodoo representation was neat (I don't much about the real religion/belief). As someone who has an interest in Psychology and took it in high school, the examination of how memories are reconstructed was really fascinating for me, and the quote at the beginning made so much sense by the end. It was a neat running theme and very universal: your memories are just what you perceive to have happened! 83
