i’m not sure what i was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t what i just watched... an exceedingly gory musical about a demonic barber who kills all of his customers and then the pie maker downstairs grinds his victims into... pies? which she then sells in her shop? to her customers? who eat them? sick

the whole musical aspect took me off guard also. i think the film could have been a lot better if it wasn’t made in musical form actually. the progression of the story would seem interestingly intriguing but would then suddenly be interrupted by a bizarre song about- well... whatever they were singing about. yea i’m not sure about this one. it was okay, just could have been more bearable.
