World War Z 2013
Rewatch: My 2nd favourite zombie film of all time.
Coming from someone who has read a lot of the book, World War Z is different in a lot of different areas, but what did people expect? It's hard to convert a 300+ page book into a 2 hour film and keep every detail. As it's own thing, it's a solid, tense zombie film with entertaining sequences. The best one for me was the third act in the research facility. They really built up the tension to the point it was actually pretty creepy.
Overall, check it out. It's a fun ride

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning 2006
In my opinion, 2nd best Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of the TCM movies, but I've always had a great time with this one. I think it does a good enough job as a prequel explaining leatherfaces backstory, his family and having a decent set of characters. All while keeping that same dark, dirty tone.
Leatherface, Andrew Byrniarski absolutely fucking nails everything about leatherface, in this and the remake. He's an absolute unit who hasβ¦

Okay, what the fuck happened.
Now when a new TCM film gets announced, you usually know what you're getting into - Chainsaws, gore, sweaty texans.
Not some woke 'try anything and your cancelled bro' shit.
I swear the directors made this for a laugh. Every attempt to characterise the main 'characters' falls flat. And by the end of the film I just wanted Leatherface to kill them all. Which luckily he almost does. The kills I'll say are pretty solid.β¦
