Intimate connection formed through images. Images in which we express ourselves, images for us to project onto others, images that we tightly hold on to, and images we hope to escape from. Instantly jumped into my all-time top 10, the other boys just aren't doing it like Hideaki Anno. I'm excited for 3.0+1.0, but I really hope to see another live-action drama film from him. Gosh, he's so talented :)
Also, Ayako Fujitani gave one of the best performances ever. Shunji Iwai is excellent as well and the cinematography and set design are fucking a e s t h e t i c.
