Hayden’s review published on Letterboxd:
No matter what there was some bias before I even started watching this. Unfortunately, like most Shymalan films, the 'twist' always gets spoken about. I knew the twist for Signs which devalued the movie from the beginning(a similar thing happened in Sixth Sense). To the movies credit it handles religion pretty good up until the last scene, and maybe to those that are religious it makes sense. Gibson and Pheonix both show their acting capabilities, but the children are pretty bad, especially the girl.
